Athens Democrats set to discuss removal of mayor Nancy Denson

Athens-Clarke County Democrats hold their monthly meeting, 6 o’clock at the Library on Baxter Street: topping the agenda is a vote on whether to remove Athens Mayor Nancy Denson from her position on the Athens-Clarke County Democratic Committee. The local Party says she has violated Committee rules with her endorsement of Republican Houston Gaines, a candidate in a special legislative election that will be held on November 7.
