Bigamy suspect arrested, child porn suspect gets court date

A Barrow County man is accused of having too many wives. Stephen Roberts is 38 years old, from Winder. He’s facing a bigamy charge after his arrest in Madison County. Roberts is accused of marrying his first wife in 1998 and his second wife in 2007, divorcing that second wife in 2014 while still married to the first. He was booked into the Madison County jail and released on bond.

There is now a court date for Paul Williams, the 4-H camp director arrested on child pornography charges in Lumpkin County: the 48 year-old has a hearing in Dahlonega scheduled for November 16. Williams (pictured) surrendered to authorities at the Lumpkin County jail last week and was released on $10,000 bond.  University of Georgia campus police assisted with the investigation that led to Williams’ arrest.
