Busy day on the local government front

An Athens-Clarke County Mayor and Commission work session is on tap for today: it gets underway at 5:30 this afternoon at the Government Building on Dougherty Street.

There is an afternoon meeting of the Athens Downtown Development Authority, 3 o'clock in Authority offices at the Gameday Building on West Broad Street.

The Athens-Clarke County Library Board meets today: 4 o’clock at the Library on Baxter Street.

Oconee County Commissioners meet in a special called session, 6 o'clock this evening at the courthouse in Watkinsville. Barrow County Commissioners are meeting tonight in Winder, a 7 o'clock session at the Historic Courthouse on North Broad Street in Winder. 

Oconee County's Board of Tax Assessors meets this morning: it's a 9 o'clock session at the courthouse in Watkinsville.

The Clarke County School Board’s property committee is meeting this afternoon: 5 o’clock at the HT Edwards Building on Dearing Extension in Athens.
