Candidate qualifying begins today

Qualifying for November’s municipal elections begins today: Mayoral and City Council seats are up for grabs in Watkinsville, Braselton, Hoschton, Gainesville, and Atlanta. Candidate qualifying continues through the week, with election day on November 7.

The Oconee County Planning Commission meets tonight, 7 o’clock at the Oconee County courthouse in Watkinsville. And there is an evening meeting of the Oglethorpe County Zoning Board: it’s a 7 o’clock session at the courthouse in Lexington.

This evening’s Jackson County Commission meeting gets underway at 6 o’clock at the courthouse in Jefferson.

A Hall County Commission work session is on tap for today, underway at 3 o’clock this afternoon at the Hall County Government Center in Gainesville.
