Crash, shooting victims identified

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says the man killed in crash on Dawsonville Highway has been identified: Timothy Hannon was 66 years old. There is no word yet on what caused the single-vehicle accident.

The body found last week in Dawson County has been identified as that of a man from Kentucky: Michael Johnson was 54 years old, from Liberty Kentucky. His body was discovered off a trail near Amicalola Falls State Park. The Dawson County Coroner’s office says foul play is not suspected in Johnson’s death.

We have this morning the name of the man who shot and wounded a Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputy: Elias Quintero was 35 years old, from Cumming. Quintero shot and killed himself after a six-hour standoff at his home in Forsyth County. The deputy, who was shot in the leg, was pulled to safety by another deputy and was not seriously injured.
