The Georgia Department of Transportation says that if the weather permits, contractors for Georgia Transmission Corporation will pull utility lines across all lanes on I-85 northbound and southbound between Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Indian Trail in Gwinnett County. They say the work is “part of a critical electric infrastructure upgrade” and will require traffic pacing on Saturday, Oct. 14 and Sunday, Oct. 15 from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Access ramps from these exits will be closed during the traffic pacing. Expect delays and find alternate routes if possible. For more information, call 511 or visit www.gatrans.com.
