GDOT awards $3 million project in Clarke and Madison counties

The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a resurfacing project for approximately five miles on State Route 8 in Clarke and Madison Counties. The more than $3 million project is scheduled to be completed in November of 2018 by C.W. Matthews Contracting Company Inc. of Marietta.

Two other projects from GDOT include a $4.5 million cable barrier installation project in Green and Morgan Counties and an almost $1 million bridge rehabilitation in White County.

The Georgia Department of Transportation says these three projects will enhance or create safety on state routes. The projects were awarded in December 2017 and officially announced in January 2018.
