GDOT to resurface Highway 211

The Georgia DOT awards a $1.7 million contract for resurfacing of 5.2 miles of Highway 211 north of I-85 in Barrow, Hall, and Gwinnett counties. It’s a DOT work project that is due for completion by August of next year.

A resurfacing project on State Route 211 (SR 211) was officially awarded to C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. of Marietta, Georgia earlier this month.

The 5.257 mile project will stretch from Barrow, Gwinnett and Hall Counties. Project limits begin on SR 211 north of I-85 bridge and extend south of State Route 53 (SR 53).

The $1.7 million investment has a scheduled completion date of August 31, 2018. Once an initial meeting with the contractor in the coming weeks, a start date and specific lane closures will be communicated by press alert and on the Northeast Region's Twitter and Facebook pages.
