GSP probes fatal crashes in Stephens, Lumpkin counties

A fourth teenager has died from injuries sustained in a June 30 car crash in Stephens County: the funeral for 17 year-old Kainan Green will be held 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon in the auditorium at Stephens County High School. He and the other teenagers—two from Clarkesville and one from Martin—were killed in the single-vehicle wreck that happened on Brookhaven Circle near Toccoa.  The other victims were Tristin Elizabeth Helton, 18, of Clarkesville; Macklen-Jace Elijah Alexander, 17, of Martin; and Kennedy Ruthann Wright, 16, of Clarkesville.

The Georgia State Patrol releases the name of the man killed in a car crash in Lumpkin County: Andrew Yarbrough was 22 years old, from Dahlonega. State Troopers say he was on a motorcycle that was hit by a car on Georgia Highway 52. 

OSHA joins the investigation in Habersham County: a construction worker died in a workplace accident in Demorest. 43 year-old Michael Dawson was working on the roof of the First United Methodist Church in Clarkesville when he fell; he died after being taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
