Local government briefs

Athens-Clarke County Commissioners are meeting this afternoon: 5:30 at the Snipes Water Resources Building on Barber Street.

The Athens-Clarke County Planning Commission meets tonight: it's a 7 o'clock session at the Government Building on Dougherty Street.

The Athens-Clarke County Board of Assessors is meeting this afternoon, 5 o'clock at City Hall. 

Developers have filed applications for another 3 million square feet of distribution and warehouse space in Jackson County: they're looking to build in Jefferson. The Jefferson City Council is set to vote on the applications next week.

A Gainesville City Council work session is on tap for today, 10 o'clock this morning at the Administration Building in Gainesville. Appointments to Gainesville boards and committees are on the business agenda.
