Local government meetings today, tonight

There is an afternoon meeting of the Northeast Georgia Regional Commission, a noon-hour session at the downtown Holiday Inn on Broad Street. 

The Athens Downtown Development Authority meets this afternoon: it's a 3:30 session at Authority offices in the Gameday building on West Broad Street. 

Jackson County Commissioners say they'll roll back Jackson County property tax rates when they set the next county budget: budget adoption is set for next month in Jefferson. 

Barrow County Planning Commissioners meet tonight, 7 o'clock in Winder.

Georgia’s Judicial Nominating Commission is taking nominations for a fourth Superior Court Judge to serve Hall and Dawson counties. Nominations will be accepted through October 6. The fourth judgeship was created earlier this year by the Georgia Legislature.
