Oconee Co comp plan is focus of forum

A public meeting on the Oconee County Comprehensive Plan is set for 6:30 this evening at Oconee Veterans Park. 

City officials in Danielsville say they are using traffic disruptions created by the ongoing work on a new traffic circle to work on upgrades to city of Danielsville water lines. 

Jackson County Commissioners meet tonight, 6 o'clock at the courthouse in Jefferson. 

There is an evening meeting of the Oglethorpe County Zoning Board: it's set for 7 o'clock at the courthouse in Lexington.

The City Council in Royston is looking to update Royston's animal control ordinance. An amended version of the measure could be ready for a Council vote in December. 

Hall County Congressman Doug Collins is calling the Corps of Engineers to expedite the review of a proposal for Hart State Park. The city of Hartwell is looking to revitalize the park. 

The Gainesville City Council says there is, in fact, a shortage: the Council says it will focus on affordable housing in Gainesville.
