A-CC Police probe stabbing, theft reports

Athens-Clarke County Police are investigating the report of a man who says $3,000 in cash was stolen from his home on Johnson Drive. That's off Barnett Shoals Road on Athens' east side. 

Athens-Clarke County Police arrest a stabbing suspect: 37 year-old Patrick Allen is in the Clarke County jail, accused in this week's attack on a man who was treated at and released from St. Mary's Hospital. The stabbing apparently happened at a home on Vincent Drive. 

You will see police and fire department activity again today on College Station Road: it's only a drill. The University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine is conducting a second day of training exercises. 

The investigation continues in Gainesville, where a substitute teacher at Gainesville Middle School is accused of assaulting two students: police say school surveillance video corroborates eye-witness accounts of 29 year-old Clindon Middleton grabbing and twisting the arms two sixth grade students. Mothers of the boys say they want criminal charges. 

There are drug charges for two men in Hall County: 59 year-old John Turk and 37 year-old Brandon Wineinger are both from Gainesville. The Hall County Sheriff's Office says they were dealing in methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana. 

There is a murder indictment for a teenager in Hall County: 19 year-old Talon Lowery is accused of walking into a Gainesville convenience store last week and shooting and killing 18 year-old Bryan Ramirez, a homicide that happened one week ago tonight. Lowery was arrested at his home after posting video of the shooting on social media. 

The state Department of Corrections is investigating the death of an inmate who was convicted on drug charges in Hall County: 39 year-old Montra Moss died this week at the state medical prison in Augusta.
