Two dead, four wounded: shooting at race track

A shooting that killed two men and injured four other people, including a child, started with a work dispute.

The argument between Deion Havior and Devonta Dunn spilled over Saturday night at an event at the Headhunters Motor Club Dragway, Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills told Channel 2 Action News.

When the situation escalated to gunfire, Havior, 23, of Milledgeville, and Dunn, 24, of Sparta, both were killed.

Those injured were just caught in the crossfire, Sills said.

Henry “Markel” Dorsey, 35, of Greensboro, was taken to Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon with at least one gunshot wound.

His condition is unknown at this time.

Three other shooting victims were treated and released from Putnam General Hospital.

Kollun Turner, 8, of Dallas, Texas, was wounded in the leg, Sills said.

Nerocus Peaks, 33, of Greensboro, was wounded in the arm.

Zakeriyah Sanders, 18, of Eatonton, was wounded in the leg and taken in a private vehicle to St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens after her release from Putnam General.
