Voters voting today in NE Ga

Voters are voting today in Watkinsville and in Madison and Jackson counties. Watkinsville voters are deciding the fate of a proposal that would allow for Sunday alcohol sales, while Madison County voters settle a sales tax question. They are being asked to extend an education sales tax. Voters in Jackson County’s Fourth District are choosing a replacement for Dwain Smith, the Jackson County Commissioner who died in December. Five candidates are on the ballot: Chris Nichols, Eric Crawford, Marty Seagraves, Reggie Metheny, and Wes Smith.

The polls that open at 7 this morning will close at 7 o’clock tonight.
