The accident happened over the weekend on tracks off Tallassee Road. Athens-Clarke County Police are investigating.

A University of Georgia student faces UGA sanctions after getting arrested during a protest on the steps of the state Capitol March 2. The University’s Office of Student Conduct says 20 year-old Adam Veale violated UGA’s code of student conduct. Veale and others spent the night in jail for blocking the Capitol steps.

A Hall County cheerleading coach is proclaiming his innocence: 36 year-old Terrance Bohanna is accused of molesting a 15 year-old boy. He was booked into the Hall County jail and released on $10,000 bond. Allegations stem from a February cheerleading competition in Atlanta, at which Bohanna is accused of inappropriately touching the teenager.
