An Athens woman is facing arson charges after allegedly setting fire to a man's clothes: Athens-Clarke County Police say Sanquetta Williams was arrested after the incident on Carver Drive.

Athens-Clarke County Police say there were no injuries in a shooting in which at least one round was fired into an apartment at the Athens Gardens on Coleridge Court. Police say one suspect was taken in for questioning.

With spring semester now over, the University of Georgia announces the closure of stretches of Baxter and Finley streets: drivers can look for delays and traffic re-routings while crews work on a water extension project. It’s work that will impact students who live in UGA’s Russell and Brumby Halls. The street closures are expected to continue through mid-June.
