Cole Wilcox leads Team USA to victory

Georgia’s right-handed pitcher, Cole Wilcox was named to the 2019 USA Collegiate National Team roster this past Monday and made his debut for Team USA last night.

Wilcox picked up the win for Team USA in a 4-2 comeback victory over Team Cuba after throwing three shutout innings in relief, where he gave up five hits and zero walks, while striking out three batters.

Wilcox is coming off his freshman season where he earned SEC All-Freshman honors after pitching 59.2 innings for the Bulldogs and went 3-2 with a 4.07 era while striking out 64 batters and holding his opponents to a .216 batting average.
