Athens-Clarke County Police investigate two apparently unrelated shootings, both on Berlin Street in Athens: a 29 year-old was shot and wounded in the first of the shootings; a 28 year-old was the victim in the other. The local Crime Stoppers group is offering reward money in the ongoing search for a hit-and-run driver. A 56 year-old Athens man was hit by two vehicles, one of which left the scene, last Wednesday morning. It happened on Broad Street near its intersection with Alps and Hawthorne.

Athens-Clarke County Police arrest a teenager on armed robbery charges: Police say 18 year-old Jordan Hill is accused of using a gun in the armed robbery of a victim who was held up in the parking lot of a restaurant on Baxter Street. He’s also looking at drug charges.

Drug agents in Stephens County report the arrests of a half-dozen suspects: there are marijuana and methamphetamine charges for the six suspects who range in age from 19 to 71 years old, all arrested on Toccoa Housing Authority property.
