Ga DPH says Athens has added more COVID deaths

UPDATE: The Department of Public Health says Athens has added three additional deaths from coronavirus, bringing the total since March to 41. Oconee County adds an additional death as well, bringing their total to 25 deaths from COVID 19.

The Department of Public Health says Athens has added another death from coronavirus, with the total since March climbing to 38. Oconee County has two dozen deaths from COVID 19.

There is another coronavirus casualty in Barrow County: the City of Winder is cancelling its annual Halloween Spooktacular.

A coronavirus testing site changes locations in Hall County: Saturday testing will now take place at the District 2 Public Health Office in Gainesville. The Office opens at 8:30 tomorrow morning and closes at 12 tomorrow afternoon.

Grady Hospital is seeing a drop in coronavirus patients after a big spike last month. About 3 weeks ago the number of coronavirus patients at the hospital in Atlanta was about a hundred. Grady’s Chief Medical Officer says the number now stands at around 20.

The Georgia Department of Public Health says the state added another 1,300 cases and 56 deaths from coronavirus over the past 24 hours. The death total since March stands at 6,474, and the state has now confirmed more than 300,000 cases of COVID 19 in Georgia.
