ACCPD investigating apartment home shooting

The following is a press release from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department

On 03/18/2018 at approximately 2:30 am, officers were dispatched to the area of Hickman Dr. (Bethel Homes Apartment Complex) in reference to multiple shots being fired in the area. The first responding officers found multiple shell casings in the breezeways between several apartments. While on scene, officers were made aware of two subjects (one 15-year-old black male and one 19-yearold black male) who arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds, the injuries to the victims were non-life threating. Both subjects were victims of the gunfire that occurred on Hickman Dr. Detectives have identified a person of interest in this case, and are working to determine the motive behind the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
