Another Athfest is here

Athfest—the annual Athens music festival—begins tonight and continues through the weekend in and around downtown Athens. Tonight's activities include the Flagpole Music Awards ceremony, underway at 8 o'clock at the Morton Theatre.

The AthFest Music & Arts Festival brings the best local and regional musicians and visual artists together in Downtown Athens, Ga. By incorporating multiple events and venues throughout downtown, AthFest is able to reach a broad range of audiences and attracts an eclectic mix of lifestyle interests.

The festival showcases the best talent in our area, and generates huge awareness for the nonprofit, AthFest Educates, and its mission to provide much needed funding to support music and arts education for youth.
