It might finally feel a bit more like fall in Georgia this week.
The region is expected to see a brief reprieve from the unseasonably high temperatures as a cold front moves in Sunday night, meteorologists said.
The high on Monday is expected to be 81 degrees, which is about average for this time of year, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan.
Monday should see a 60 percent chance of rain and “more clouds than sunshine,” he said.
However, Monahan said, “overall our pattern this week is going to stay warm.”
Temperatures through the rest of the week are expected to rise back to the low to mid-80s, with rain chances above 50 percent for Wednesday and Thursday.
Light rain is possible for Monday morning, which could muddy the morning commute.
