Black ice threat leads to school closings and delayed openings

The threat of ice on roadways leads most schools around the region, including the University of Georgia, Athens Technical College, and the Clarke County School District, to delay their openings this morning. More rain fell Monday and last night, and the mercury is forecast to hover around the freezing mark to begin the day.
