Bulldog players showcase their skills on UGA Pro Day

Scouts from all 32 NFL teams were in Athens Wednesday, as were coaches and general managers from several teams, watching several members of last season’s national championship team work out on the Georgia Bulldogs annual pro day. The league officials were assessing the Bulldog talent in advance of next month’s National Football League draft.

It seemed the “old” Stetson Bennett was back at Georgia on Wednesday, his mind back into the football groove with the 2023 NFL Draft fast approaching.

There was no talk of back-to-back championships, all-time greatness or wanting or needing to prove anything to the coaches, fans or media who doubted him or his team.

Bennett, instead, kept the focus on football and the process he has been through since the NFL Combine.

Jalen Carter was back on the field at Georgia’s pro day on Wednesday. With all 32 teams present, Carter left NFL teams asking even more questions regarding his NFL draft future.

Carter did not work out at the combine but did meet with teams, returning after he posted bail on the evening of March 1. On Tuesday, Carter went through position drills but did not run the 40-yard dash nor do any agility tests. What’s more, is Carter was unable to finish drills. He was reportedly dealing with cramping issues per ESPN’s Mark Schlabach.
