CCSD looks to hire substitute teachers

The Clarke County School District is putting out a call for substitute teachers. The District, on the CCSD website, says it is looking to hire more substitutes as more students return to classrooms in Athens.

First and second graders in elementary schools in Athens are among those scheduled to return to in-classroom instruction Monday morning: nearly all students in the Clarke County School District have been doing their learning on-line for almost a year now, since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic last March. The Clarke County School District is returning students to classrooms in a phased-in fashion, with more schools set to reopen later next month.
