CCSD nursing director is honored

Amy Roark is honored by the National Association of School Nurses. Roark, the Director of School Nurses in the Clarke County School District in Athens, has been named the Georgia School Nurse Administrator of the Year.

Clarke County School District was strongly represented at the National Association of School Nurses conference in Atlanta on July 1. Along with CCSD being highlighted on a national scale for health successes, Amy Roark, CCSD Director of School Nurses, was honored with the 2022 Georgia School Nurse Administrator of the Year Award. CCSD also played a strong role in planning the conference, with the Cedar Shoals High School Color Guard performing at the NASN annual business meeting, as well as the Clarke Central and Cedar Shoals FFA clubs providing centerpieces for the 118 tables for the national conference, while also personally delivering 100 floral arrangements for the conference.

A massive congratulations to our incredible school nurses team and all members of the CCSD family who helped in making such an impact on a national stage!
