Chop shop busted, Athens man arrested

An Athens man is arrested and accused of running a chop shop in Elbert County: 38 year-old Craig Adams is facing a long list of felony counts, including theft by receiving and possession of a firearm by a felon. The alleged chop shop operation is on a 15-acre site on Plantation Road in Elbert County, where vehicles confiscated by the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office are said to have a total value of more than $1 million.
