Colder weather on the way

It is forecast to be the first hard freeze of the season, coming earlier this usual this year: the rain that will roll through the region Tuesday morning is expected to clear out by tomorrow afternoon, ushering in a cold front that will have Athens temperatures in the mid-twenties by Wednesday morning. High temperatures Wednesday and Thursday are expected to top out in the mid 40s before a slight warmup by the weekend.

“It’s going to turn breezy and much colder as we get an Arctic push of air into our area,” says Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Eboni Deon.
