FBI offers reward in store murder in Buford

The FBI says it is offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to an arrest after a retired Gwinnett County sergeant was shot and killed in an attempted robbery earlier this week.

Felix Cosme, 63, was killed inside an O'Reilly Auto Parts store along Hamilton Mill Road in Buford.

Gwinnett County police say Cosme was working in the back of the store when a robber confronted another employee, telling her to open the cash register.

Cosme pulled a gun on the would-be thief, but the robber shot him first.

The other employee wasn't hurt when the robber got into his car and sped away. Police are still trying to identify him.

The FBI said its reward is in addition to one from Crime Stoppers.
