Final day for early voting in Athens

Today begins a close to the third and final week of early voting in the March 21 special election to fill the District 2 seat on the Athens-Clarke County Commission.

Former Commissioner Melissa Link and former Clarke County School Board member Kirrena Gallagher are racing to fill the unexpired term of Mariah Parker, who resigned her County Commission seat last September. The advance voting continues through the close of business Friday at the Elections Office on Washington Street, the Library on Baxter Street, and the Miriam Moore Community Center on McKinley Drive in Athens.
