The new site is located at the Delta Flight Museum off Woolman Place in Hapeville.

In addition to the Delta location, Georgia opened three other mass COVID-19 vaccination sites. The sites are scattered across Georgia: in Habersham, Bibb and Dougherty counties.

At the Delta Flight Museum, vaccinations began at 8 a.m. on Monday. The goal was to administer 1,100 vaccines by the end of the day.

This week, WSB-TV also learned that the state of Georgia is preparing to announce an expansion into a new phase of COVID-19 vaccinations in a matter of days.

WSB investigative reporter Justin Gray confirmed through his sources that teachers and other school employees will be included in the expansion.

Gray’s sources said Gov. Kemp is expected to make an official announcement in the coming days, and the expansion will go beyond the current 65-year-old age limit to include more vulnerable Georgians.
