Hall Co mom pleads not guilty in death of child

A Hall County woman pleads not guilty to charges stemming from last summer’s death of his 6-month-old son: 36 year-old Amanda Oakes of Murrayville is charged, as is 28 year-old Carlton Mathis of Gainesville, in the death of Curtis Oakes, whose body was found in a motel freezer in Dothan Alabama. She’s facing a manslaughter charge; Mathis is charged with murder. Her trial is scheduled to start in March.

Three robbery suspects are arrested in Franklin County, charged in a string of automobile break-ins in Lavonia: two 17 year-olds—one from Royston and the other from Hartwell—are charged along with a 23 year-old from Lavonia.

Leandro Gregoria begins a 99-year prison sentence, his punishment for his child porn conviction: Gwinnett County Police say the 49 year-old Lawrenceville man had upwards of 8,000 pornographic images, most of them on his cell phone.
