The forecast calls for one more day of rain—maybe heavy rain with thunderstorms—for Athens and northeast Georgia, with the possibility of more flooding from creeks and rivers already swollen from the heavy rains of last week.
As another day with heavy rain is in the forecast for most of northeast Georgia comes word that roads that were closed because of last week's flooding have now reopened: crews in Hall and Hart counties say they have repaired roads that were damaged in last Thursday's downpours.
