Jackson EMC Outage Update

By: Abby Jessen — Following bad storms across Georgia on Wednesday afternoon, Jackson EMC released the following update:

“The thunderstorms that swept across North Georgia this afternoon caused a tree to topple in Clarke County, resulting in damage to the distribution lines and approximately 700 members to be without power in that area. Line crews have been dispatched, and they are working to restore power to those affected. As of 5:15 pm, 219 members in Clarke County remain without power. Most other outages in our 10-county service area have been restored at this time.

Line crews will continue to work to restore these outages as quickly as conditions and safety allow.

Additional information is available on our website outage map at http://jemc.maps.sienatech.com/.

Members may report outages from their computer or mobile device on the website, www.jacksonemc.com, or by calling 1-800-245-4044.
