Jackson Co: parks yes, games no

Jackson County says organized games won't be allowed to resume on Jackson County Parks and Recreation fields until June 6. Jackson County parks, which had been closed because of coronavirus concerns, reopened to the public earlier this month.

From the Jackson Co government website…

Jackson County Parks and Recreation facilities will reopen on Monday, May 18th. This will include fields, restrooms, walking areas, playgrounds, as well as, some indoor facilities.

In conjunction with the Governor’s orders, all patrons must maintain social distancing and follow the guidelines issued by the CDC. JCPR staff will be sanitizing restrooms two times per day and the playgrounds once per day.

There will be no organized games allowed at any of the playing fields until June 6th including scrimmages between teams practicing.

Please remember to adhere to these guidelines for the safety of all. We are excited to be able to allow our citizens to enjoy our great parks in Jackson County once again. Updates to facility conditions will be issued as needed.
