Jail without bail for accused hit and run driver

Donterris Gresham faces a long list of charges

It is jail without bail for Donterris Gresham, who surrendered to deputies at the Clarke County jail two nights ago: the 29 year-old Gresham faces counts that include vehicular homicide and hit-and-run, charged in the death of University of Georgia student Ariana Zarse.

The 20 year-old from Texas was killed early last Saturday morning, struck by a car allegedly driven by Gresham. It happened while she and a friend were crossing East Broad Street near Foundry in downtown Athens. The friend was not injured.
