Juvenile Justice hiring in Wilkes Co

The state Department of Juvenile Justice is looking for workers: a jobs fair is on tap for today, underway at 10 and lasting til 1 at the Wilkes Regional Youth Detention Center in Washington.

The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) will be accepting employment applications in Wilkes County on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020. DJJ is searching for dedicated individuals to work at the Wilkes Regional Youth Detention Center in Washington, Ga.

Onsite interviews will take place for the positions of juvenile correctional officers and food service workers. Interested candidates should bring their resumes and dress for an on the spot interview.

Job seekers are also asked to bring a valid driver's license and proof of a high school diploma or GED to assist in the application process. A special military salary incentive of up to 10 percent will be available for the juvenile correctional officer positions based on years of active military duty.
