Leisure Services Dept seeks input on master plan

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department is looking for public input on a Department master plan. Leisure Services is working with UGA's Vinson Institute of Government, gathering opinions on a survey that can be found at the Athens-Clarke County government website. The survey is up through mid-July.

Leisure Services 2030 is the ten year plan for the future of the Leisure Services Department. Community input and guidance is essential for the development of this important document which will shape the future of Athens parks, programs, and facilities. There will be multiple opportunities for citizens to weigh in and shape the future of the Leisure Services Department. Check this page regularly for updated information, documents, input opportunities, and more!

The Community Needs Assessment is currently underway. This survey is designed to identify high level needs and service gaps in the parks, facilities, and programs associated with Leisure Services. Please click on the input tab below to complete the Community Needs Assessment today! Each household that completes the survey will receive two passes to a Leisure Services Aquatics facility, or two passes to Sandy Creek Park. The Needs Assessment Survey will be open until midnight on July 14th.

As part of community outreach efforts, Leisure Services staff will be on hand at a variety of events throughout the community. Keep an eye on the calendar below for the next date and location.
