Local government notes: ADDA meets, Oconee Co Planning Commission cancels session

There is an afternoon meeting of the Athens Downtown Development Authority: it is a 2 o’clock session at City Hall.

Tonight’s meeting of the Oconee County Planning Commission, which had been scheduled for 7 o’clock at the courthouse in Watkinsville, has been canceled.

Jackson County Commissioners meet tonight, a 6 o’clock session at the courthouse in Jefferson.

The Elbert County School Board meets this afternoon in Elberton.

Jordan Cofer Road in Barrow County closes today and for the rest of the week: crews are doing culvert work along Jordan Cofer Road from Rat Kinney Road to Evergreen Ridge Court in Barrow County. There is a detour in place.

The Georgia DOT is asking for public input on a proposed roundabout that would be built at a busy intersection on State Route 53 in Braselton. The traffic circle is planned for the intersection of SR 53, Ednaville Road, and New Cut Road in Braselton.
