More rail crossing work in Watkinsville

A busy railroad intersection in Oconee County is scheduled to be closed again today: State Route 15 at McRee Street in Watkinsville is where crews are working to replace a rail crossing. The DOT says the work is scheduled from 8 this morning through 5 o'clock this afternoon.

GDOT crews will implement a road closure on State Route 15 in Watkinsville to allow the replacement of the railroad crossing near McRee Street.

The closure will begin on July 10 at 8 a.m. and continue through July 11 at 5 p.m. Traffic will be detoured around the crossing during this time.
