NE Ga police reports include arrests in rape, shooting

Four drug suspects are arrested at a motel in Commerce, with what drug agents say was $50,000 worth of marijuana, methamphetamine, and heroin confiscated. The suspects are from Stephens, Banks, Barrow, and Madison counties.

Investigators in the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office are looking for the four men who broke into a Nike Outlet store in Commerce, stealing what store owners say was more than $12,000 worth of clothing. The four men seen on store surveillance video were wearing masks.

There are rape charges for a man arrested in Elbert County: 30 year-old Joshua Fry was booked into the Elbert County jail on statutory rape charges for an incident that is said to have involved a 15 year-old girl.

There have been arrests in a shooting that happened earlier this week in Habersham County: the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office says the accused shooter and the shooting victim are both facing charges. Cameron Wiley is 19 years old, from White County. He’s charged with shooting and wounding Drake Free. The 20 year-old Free, who was shot in the arm, is facing counts that include robbery.
