Oconee Co seeks members for Planning Commission

Oconee County Commissioners look for volunteers to serve on the Oconee County Planning Commission and on the Recreation Advisory committee. Deadline to apply is August 10.

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners is seeking citizen applicants for appointments to the following:

Oconee County Planning Commission: Two appointments to start October 1, 2021 and expire September 30, 2025.  Members provide recommendations regarding rezones and other pertinent land use applications to the Board of Commissioners. Meetings are the third Monday each month at 7:00 pm in the Oconee County Courthouse.

Recreation Advisory Committee: Five appointments to begin October 1, 2021 and expire September 30, 2023.  Members review and discuss issues affecting the County’s Parks and Recreation facilities, activities, and formulate recommendations on significant issues.  Meetings are held the third Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September and November at 5:00 pm at the Oconee County Veterans Park Community Center.
