Athens-Clarke County Police report the arrests of two suspects accused of breaking into cars: Police say Rosco Hill and Torrance Johnson were caught by officers on patrol on Woodlawn Avenue. They were arrested after a chase that ended on West Rutherford. Police say they have recovered some stolen property, including at least one stolen firearm.

From the ACCPD…

On September 18, 2018 officers in the area of Oakland Way and Woodlawn Avenue saw suspects attempting to break into a vehicle.

Once the suspects saw the officers, they fled on foot. Officers pursued the suspects through numerous yards and eventually located them hiding in a backyard on W. Rutherford Street. The suspects, Rico Hill Jr. and Toris Johnson, were arrested and charged with several counts of Entering Auto, Loitering and Prowling, and Obstruction. Officers searched the area and located a firearm and other stolen property.

We would like to commend the officers from Midnights for their dedicated service to the community.
