Police arrest murder suspect, probe drive-by shooting

He was already in the Clarke County jail, behind bars on a weapons charge: now Anthony Littlejohn is facing a murder charge, accused in the January 29 shooting of 22 year-old Jennifer Jacobs. Jacobs was shot and killed at a home on Sartain Circle in Athens.

Felony murder warrants have been obtained for Antonio Littlejohn in this case. Littlejohn was already in custody on firearms violations.

ACCPD Investigating Shooting Death of Woman

On 01/29/2018, officers were dispatched to a residence on Sartian Dr., in reference to a person shot. Upon their arrival, they located a white female, Jennifer Jacobs, 22-year-old of Athens deceased in her bedroom from a gunshot wound to her chest. There were two other individuals in the residence at the time of Ms. Jacobs’ death, including her boyfriend. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this death investigation.

Athens-Clarke County Police are investigating a reported drive-by shooting: it happened on Burkland Drive off Danielsville Road on Athens’ north side. Shots were fired into a home. There were no injuries reported.

On 04/10/2018 at just before 11:00 pm officers responded to Burkland Drive in reference to a drive-by shooting. The caller gave no specific address. 91-1 operators were given a possible vehicle description of a white Nissan Altima with tinted windows. Officers checked the area and could not find any victims or a scene. Approximately five hours later at just before 4:30 am on 04/11/2018 officers responded to a residence off Burkland Drive that had damage to the residence from gunshots. The resident stated she heard gunshots around 10:30p11:00p, but thought it was neighbors shooting fireworks. The victim also located a bullet on her bedroom floor, damage to her dresser and a bullet hole in her bedroom wall.
