Police, GSP investigate deadly accidents

A motorcycle crash kills a man in Lumpkin County. Rajendra Jamadagni was 49 years old, from Johns Creek. The wreck happened north of Dahlonega; he died after being taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. 

A man from Covington is struck and killed while walking Georgia 400 in Alpharetta: police in Alpharetta say it was a hit-and-run wreck. They were, at last report, still searching for the driver. The victim is Tyler Piper, a Newton County man said to have been in his mid-20s.
