Reminder: Oconee Co bridge closes Saturday

There is a heads-up for drivers in Oconee County, where the bridge on Daniells Bridge Road will close for several hours tomorrow: the Oconee County Water Resources Department will be using a crane for work on a large sewer line. The road closure is scheduled for 9 til 4 Saturday.

The bridge on Daniells Bridge Road will be closed Saturday, January 23, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A contractor for the Oconee County Water Resources Department will be utilizing a crane to place a large sewer structure near the lift station. Both lanes will need to be closed for the crane to maneuver safely.  Message boards are being placed at both ends of Daniells Bridge Road that will display the closure date and time. Barricades will be used near the bridge. Vehicles shall not traverse the bridge during this time, and travelers are advised to avoid this area during this time.
