SC couple arrested after police chase on I-85 in Franklin Co

A man and woman from South Carolina are behind bars in Banks County: the Banks County Sheriff’s Office says Dykem Laney from Spartanburg and Kendaysha Fuller of Chesney South Carolina were arrested after a high speed police pursuit that began after a reported shoplifting in Commerce. They were arrested on I-85 in Franklin County.

The Georgia State Patrol says the driver of a car that hit a pedestrian on Highway 17 in Franklin County will not face charges. The pedestrian, who was walking on the Highway in Lavonia, was taken to a hospital in Greenville South Carolina with what were described as non life-threatening injuries.
