Sinkhole will close UGA parking lot

A large and growing sinkhole will close a University of Georgia parking lot on Carlton Street.

To all S25 permit holders:

The Facilities Management Division has discovered a damaged pipe beneath the S25 lot that is in need of immediate repair. As a result, no parking will be permitted in this lot while repairs are being made. This area will be closed beginning Saturday, September 3, 2016 and repairs are expected to take two to three months.

In an effort to accommodate your parking needs, Parking Services is requesting S25 permit holders to submit 3 lot choices for alternate parking while the S25 lot is under construction. Please submit lot requests to Susan Weirauch at weirauch@uga.uga no later than Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Temporary parking assignments will be made based on the priority system.
