The National Weather Service says Athens received one-half inch of snow on Saturday. There were heavier totals elsewhere across northeast Georgia, with Gainesville recording four inches and parts of the northeast Georgia mountains receiving up to seven inches of snow.
Today, and for much of the rest of the week, rain and the possibility of flooding highlight the Athens area forecast.

Rain is moving in Monday through Thursday and flooding will be a concern. A flood watch goes into effect at 1 p.m. Monday.

Widespread 2-4" are forecast Monday-Thursday and FLOODING will remain our primary concern. Rain begins midday Monday.
